Special Educational Needs

We concentrate on the personal and specific needs of our students and ensure that all students with Special Educational Needs are offered full access to a broad, balanced and relevant education.

The needs of the majority of our students are met in the classroom through good quality teaching. Teachers are expected to ensure that students’ needs are met through the publication of our special educational needs register. Teaching staff are expected to make reasonable adjustments to their teaching through differentiation to ensure the needs of all SEND students are met.

Local authorities are requires to publish a local offer of provision for children and young people who are disabled or have Special Educational Needs.

The Staffordshire local offer contains information and the services available to children and young people (aged 0-25) with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND), their parents, carers and families. You can view the local offer here.
